The Detroit Land Bank Authority offers Detroit Public Schools Community District employees and parents deep discounts to put homeownership within reach. School employees can take advantage of 50% off on all Auction properties. For parents, there is a 20% discount on our Auction properties for all buyers who complete Homebuyer Counseling workshops with one of our partners before placing their bids.

Studies have shown home stability helps children succeed in the classroom and owning your own home can help your family feel secure. Our goal is to make sure every school employee and parent knows about these discount programs and other ways the DLBA is making homeownership more accessible to Detroiters. The DLBA's Community Affairs team created the DPSCD Parent Academy, in partnership with DPSCD's new Adult Education Hubs, meeting twice a month with moms, dads, and guardians to share resources and answer questions about buying and rehabbing a DLBA house.
